YOUR Mental Health Matters: You Are Not Alone
Mental health is just as important as physical health. It affects how we think, feel, and handle life’s challenges. But too often, mental health struggles go unnoticed, and those who need help suffer in silence—feeling alone, misunderstood, or without a safe place to turn.
That is why this resource page exists—to provide young people with the support, information, and guidance they need.
Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, depression, stress, or thoughts of self-harm, you deserve support, and you are never alone.
Why Should We Care About Youth Mental Health?
Teen mental health issues are more common than many realize:
- Suicide is the third leading cause of death among young people (15–29 year-olds). (World Health Organisation)
- 50% of all lifetime mental illnesses begin at age 14. (National Alliance on Mental Health)
- 1 in 7 teenagers experiences a mental disorder. (World Health Organisation)
- The consequences of failing to address adolescent mental health conditions extend to adulthood, impairing both physical and mental health and limiting opportunities to lead fulfilling lives as adults. (World Health Organisation)
- Many struggling teens never seek help due to stigma, lack of access, or feeling like no one understands.
Ignoring these issues doesn’t make them disappear—it makes them worse. Raising awareness and providing access to the right resources CAN SAVE LIVES.
